I've never heard of speeds like 0.67Mbps,0.88Mbps & 0.34Mbps download(international),mind you upload is around 65Mbps,with Webafrica on Octotel, local speeds are actually normal very fast

I've had some issues since about Wednesday connecting to one of our servers in Germany, through Webafrica and Openserve, also slow download speeds from Microsoft on the xbox, Youtube was also not giving joy this morning.

Where you based? I noticed something similar.

My goodness,if it's a cable issue why isn't anyone informing the internet community:cautious:I thought I was the only one experiencing these issues because I checked both the Octotel & Webafrica network status pages.......no mention of issues🤷‍♂️

Suspect as much. Nothing from Axxess either.

And we have almost everyone on holiday to add to the congestion with everyone (and his/her dog) on social media, posting random nonsense.

There are no undersea cable issues we are aware of currently. It is best to just log it with your respective ISPs.

Also experiencing this with webafrica since wednesday, it's NTT again, I logged a ticket but the agent never logged a ticket apparently so I'm logging another one :)

Yeap there are no breaks. All routes on wacs, equiano and eassy are up.

Only issue is a terrestrial link from Datamena between Fujairah and Dubai that has been down for a few days now but that is normal because it's super unreliable.

Also having issues with WebAfrica and Vuma trenched - appears to be an ISP/Upstream peer issue. Affecting Facebook/IG & YouTube so far... :(

This is what happens when you have a KAK internet service provider.
@websquadza can you help a brother out here please

im on Webafrica as well on a 1Gbp line and i have noticed Youtube buffering a lot and automatically going down to the lowest quality preset.
However, my speedtests seem fine.
cant pin point any other sites as it doesnt happen often, but on Youtube it happens all the time (at least for the last week, that i remember)

Starlink was intermittent a few days ago but the airwaves are clean again

Before anyone jumps on my head, yes I am aware that 99.9% of ISP's deprioritise ICMP traffic so this is not 100% indicative of an issue. Running tcptraceroute to TCP 443 for the same IP doesn't provide any further clarity, the same IP is unfortunately obscured :(

Trace is basically clear all the way to hop 15, loss along a path is very normal. Routers will drop a % of ICMP. If it clears beyond that hop it means traffic is clean beyond that router.

Anyone heard anything on this? Cant stream, cant watch youtube.

Getting a constant 24.2% packet loss on the 168.210.9.160 hop. Seems to be linked to Dimension Data?
