IS Bandwidth Issues

After complaints to IS regarding crappy speed on 1meg line, i get the following response from helpdesk:

"All your internal hosts are infected with a virus, causing your line to be over utilized."

Im wondering if these virus go to sleep at night, considering that my line is unused at night.
Over utilised line, with the shoddy bandwidth we need to put up with, im surprised anybody has an underutilised line.

im beggining to think IS has a list of "If all else fails excuses list:"
"1. Tell the client they overutilise the line
2. Tell the client it must be a virus
3. ............."

I will let someone else be creative and complete the list, im too gatvol.

Pretty damn lame id say.

They know they are Telkom Part 2, so what are they supposed to do. The guy at the helpdesk is not going to accomplish anything and the higher-ups have dreams of becoming Telkom CEO's.

There probably isn't even a list, part of working at a helpdesk is lying :D so they just tell this guy to think of any random **** to tell the customer.
