IS better latency to Google.com via Satellite

New response times down from 685-714ms (1 August) down to 490ms
New traceroute with Business 512 Satellite - used the same www.google.com

Can anyone explain, has IS installed more bandwidth

I still get 600-700...

When the network is quiet, that is. Like at night or on weekends. It's often over 1000 during business hours.

I'm switching to SAIX soon.

Have a look at saix adsl during the day the last week, over 1000ms internationally.

Really weird.

Wow, that IS fibre really is amazing. but my iBurst which is simlar to IS sattelite (also goes over sattelite I belive, even though they et BW from Verizon??) has also gotten better lateley.

It was never as bad as your guys IS, only ever hit 600's with a pretty *** iBUrst connection uring the daytime. Now it gets highish 400's late night, and 500's day time mostly.

iBurst should be significantly affected by the fact that it's wireless, though.

Or maybe that only affects local...
