Oh no, facts!

Its not about facts, its about opinion.
Yes its an RNA virus and they slipped up, but does that negate everything else that they say? No I doubt it. You just listened to the video or googled it and ha! They said DNA therefore they are not credible.

That is lazy thinking, but its your view so good luck!

Oh sorry I take back everything I said and will now believe everything these complete randomers have said in both their interviews.

They are practicing medical professionals and wanted to report on the situation in their community. (you would know it if you watched the video).
again, that is your view, I don't know why you're continuing to waste your breath. Go and #supportlockdown or listen to Bill Gates. Skip it or relax.

I put it there for those who want to listen, you're obviously no one of them. It is not my job to change your mind. Your views are fixed, I get it.

As much as you I would think.
I have looked at the TB and AIDS infection rates and I have noted that these are very high in SA.

Current advice shows that people with pulmonary TB are vulnerable to the coronavirus.

Similar to AIDS because of the compromised immune system.

So it begs the question how can you make such assertions, without making any judgments of the situation?

Well. People with TB susceptible to TB. Who knew.

What judgements are we talking about here? That the style of lockdown employed by established economies wont work here, because they will collapse our economy and our healthcare system along with it? I think you are backing up what I'm saying here.

Its just impractical to have a lock-down in SA for various economic, social etc reasons. We are in a tough spot, but I don't even see what our government's criteria is for opening the economy, they seem to be all over the place.

So you based your views on your own selfish reasons and gave no considerations to the vulnerable parts of society?

No, they are finding more positives per test now than before. That's why it's concerning. The virus is spreading at a higher rate than our testing is increasing.
No they are not, it's been between 2.5 to 3% right through

Lockdown Is Ending, Whether Governments Approve or Not
Executive orders may have encouraged the lockdowns, but they always depended on voluntary behavior.

"data from Apple and Foursquare suggest the lockdowns are gradually coming to an end on their own anyway, as more people venture out of their homes and resume various levels of economic activity. "

The lock-down is simply unenforceable for anywhere outside of China.

Yes it's risen from 2% to 3% over the last month even though our testing has increased from 4000 to 12800 tests per day over the last month. The virus is outpacing us.

So let those with AIDS and TB die to sacrifice themselves in the name of the economy? Does not sound like a fabulous solution?

or just isolate them and the elderly while the economy doesn't tank. Much more sensible to me.
People just cannot stay home for much longer, the lockdown sounds nice in theory, but it is losing support in SA. We have to be realistic.

No it hasn't risen from 2 to 3, it's been between them. Just looking at the 19th to the 21st it goes from 2% on the 20th to 3% on the 21st.

All that says is that you don't really need a lock down if people are willing to take sensible precautions all on their own. The opposite is true, in that if people won't take precautions it won't matter how hard you lock down, they'll still go and infect themselves.
