Is D3 any better than it was 6 months ago?

Well, is it?

In blind faith I bought it and it was fun for a while but after not too long we got frustrated by having to troll the AH for items as the bosses just never dropped anything and it didn't ever feel like the player was being rewarded at all for all the grind...

So, after various tweaks and patches is it worth giving it another go?

Appreciate the reply

Would you be able to elaborate a bit? Please

Well, they have Paragon Levels now, which allow you to go up to 100 and you get 3% MF and GF every level as well as a small increase to stats. This I like because it gives a sense that you are actually getting somewhere rather than just endless finding items (although it still is a bit like this).

They also doubled the drop rates of legendaries, and Inferno is a lot easier, you can pick your difficulty with Monster Power from 1 - 10 with each level increasing the magic find, XP. and gold find.

There is also now these keys you have to collect to create Infernal machines, you then fight Uber Bosses and get parts to build this cool ring.

Read the patch notes they will tell you everything:

It's still all about the grind, though it is a lot more fun now than it used to be.

Yes it is. It would certainly have fared a lot better if it was launched as it currently stands.

However the changes are not enough to lure me back. I will require offline play.

By the sounds of the OP, no, you prob wont enjoy it. But the only real way to find out is to try it yourself. We can only give you subjective opinions, that you may completely differ from. But there's a lot more to do and drops are better, so I would say, what do you have to lose besides an hour or two (after you ding level 60)
