IS experiencing network problems, Telkom slow to respond

This article clearly points a finger at Telkom dragging their heels, and with
the lauch later on today of the SNO, its a day that will go down in Telco
history books in SA.

May the SNO make an entry with the following points:
* Competitive products at a competitive price (will be difficult)
* Listen to the market and customers (Possible)
* Free local calls (wishful)
* Unbundle the local loop permitting VoIP operators to truly provide PSTN access ?

One consolation IS has been able to offer affected customers is that the issue is now in the hands of Telkom executives.

Oh, thats OK then. I am sure that the problem will now be speedily resolved, knowing the high standards these executives strive towards.

The ordinary residential user has also expressed discontent with the incumbent by voting Telkom as the worst telecoms provider regarding customer satisfaction in the recent Synovate survey.

*cue* Lulu suprised look *again* *lulu shocked look* *again*

Hmmm. I imagine that IS would be a big enough fish to capture SNO's interest.

That's a very good point - and makes me smile.
IS are in the top two biggest Telkom customers (along with Vodacom?)
