well what you are experiencing is no contention at the tower or network level. Due to the fact it is now the middle of the month and alot of people are capped and not buying more bandwidth and coupled with the fact that it is rather early in the morning... yea iburst is fast.

But thats never been ibursts problem, its always fast when not everyone is on at the same time. If you can make it through the whole day with these speeds then we can talk because in 4 hours or less you should notice a slow down, nothing hectic as it is the middl of the month but a slow down none the less.

plus i don't know why the cache had problems last night at like 8 but im sort of expecting downtime when they try fix that or more stalls... so yeah, enjoy it while it lasts

My connection also died last night at about 8pm. No difference in speed though. I normally get 1 mbit speeds.

I normally get 1mbit as well but there always seems to be major latency from the proxy. Much better today.

There was some unannounced changes/testing done last night... whatever it was, it seems to have improved international connection stability.

So, those with reasonable connectivity should find things "better". Those on the edge may not experience too much of a difference....

Do you guys think this is the fix promised for the 19th, ahead of schedule? That would be some kind of first. Any updates on wether this fixes the "capped death" problem?

This slow international thing hasn't affected me. I must be one of the tards that lives in a bubble, a geographically stable area, can see 50 towers, and has a base station in the back garden.

Maybe they have finally found a way to balance the tower contention ratios or something?

I'm so happy for you lucky people...

I've obviously been shifted to the disconnections club, 13 disconnections so far today. Actually every time I tried using iBurst

Speed not too bad @ 753 kbps, except that there's an initial lag of about 20 seconds before the page load (any page).

I DLed iTunes (my standard test) @ +/- 70KB/s...

Definately an improvement :)

Edit: but that said, it used to be closer to 100 KB/s about 2 months ago :(
