Just phone multichoice connected services again and the agent said it is currently only available from Samsung device to Samsung TV? Wacky - could someone possibly confirm? Seems like a lot of people have this question at the moment:

I've been using the DSTV Now app since it launched and am impressed with the continuous increase in channels, particularly for sport, however, there are some tweaks that need to be made to ensure the app stays up to date with current iOS updates.
1. iPads (in particular, iPad Pros) now support split-screen multi-tasking for most apps, and this is exceptionally handy when you're watching a video on YouTube and browsing Safari at the same time, or taking notes etc. DSTV Now doesn't support this however - the app can only be used if it is the only app open.
2. Chromecast support (the reason for finding this thread) is becoming imperative, and also, console support for PS4 and XBOX One. There was an article staying that "you can now watch DSTV Now on your consoles", but I've tried this in the PS4s native browser and it says it's not supported. Almost every video viewing / streaming app that exists in the mainstream supports Chromecase now (Netflix, YouTube, Showmax, WWE Network etc), so DSTV needs to make this happen asap.
Again, props for making a great streaming app that is a worthy addition to the DSTV package, but we mustn't fall behind now.

Just now tested the cast button in the DSTv now app on my Android device. This works fine with my Cromecast device plugged into the TV.....
No PC required to cast tabs if I want to watch sport anymore
The casting function on the Dstv app is however not available on apple devices yet. This I have also tested.

Experienced that as well. Was watching the bulls vs lion game and when streaming via phone before casting the score was 7-7. When clicking to cast the score was 7-0. I was like :wtf: Same thing happened when watching the football.
Seems like it is about 5min delayed
That wouldn't make sense at all. Who's gonna pay R 789 pm for just the channels on the app? If you can afford R789 pm, you can afford a R 1300 decoder

My Giga 582 and DSTV NOW app - no casting from phone - just direct on andriod box
Hi there. I have a My Giga 582 andriod media play box - downloaded the DSTV Now app from Google Play store and then installed 2 APK's. works perfectly - no need to cast from andriod phone.
