Is it possible to cast the DSTV Now app?

Over the weekend I managed to cast from my iPhone to my Chromecast, so it is there, for some at least. It had a funny issue though where it would sometimes pop up saying that I can't cast a stream from two devices at the same time, or something to that effect, when it was just from my iPhone I was casting.

Which iphone and iOS version?
I tried connecting my old Sony z3 to my TV via a mhl adapter. As soon as the DStv now app starts, playback freezes. Was planning to use the z3 as an android media player. Guess I will have to buy an android TV box to play the DStv app. How is the quality of the streams using an android box?

Not strictly cast but apple play. I can send it to my Apple TV since the last dstv now update.

Oh I'm referring specifically to DSTV Now chromecast compatibility on iOS.

The Mi Box is basically works exactly like the Chromecast, but it works for the Chromecast dongle as well:
On the google home app, does it pick up the dstv now app as one of the compatible apps?

Weird... I tested from my wife's iPad, option's there too. The app wasn't installed, so when I installed it and logged in, it immediately highlighted the Chromecast button as a new feature.
It's obviously something they're controlling on their end. I did try the Chromecasting option on Android when it first became available, so maybe that's why I have it on iOS as well.
