Is it possible to fight the climate crisis and eat some meat?

Are we eating too much meat?
Well, that depends on who you ask. For instance, most animal rights activists would say any meat is too much. Certain advocates of high-protein diets might say we aren’t eating enough. And, there’s even division of opinion amongst research scientists, especially since last week, when a recent analysis of existing nutritional studies found that the evidence supporting the case against meat wasn’t nearly as strong as the public had been led to believe.

look, bombing an island in a matter of a few seconds will pretty much reverse all of my consumption behaviour changes I make

first address the major causes of climate change, and in my view the military industrial complex is pretty far from "green" whichever way you look at it

Why dont these climate change champions lobby the Maasai tribe, their diet is mainly milk, meat, and blood. Greta?

These people just don’t know what they are talking about. Livestock have a symbiosis with grasland. Basically the cows poop and keep the Carbon kn the grass.

Alan Savory’s research managed to reverse desertification in some farms by using migrating lifestock on areas that had barely any water.

There's only one meaningful decision that an individual can make that has any long-term effect on anthropogenic climate change - whether you churn out a kid or not.

That is also nonsense. The best that you can do is to increase your overall wealth. Environmentalism is a rich man’s problem.

When's the last time you looked at a list of countries by CO2 emissions per capita? The top ten is dominated by 1st world countries.

Nonsense. Killing yourself has even more of a long term benefit.

Why are you looking at 2009 data when 2016 data is available? Some first world countries are decreasing emissions, but also note those who've moved up the list.

If we could just get the CO2 concentration back up to around 1000ppm the resulting flourishing of plant life will provide abundant resources. It is very fortunate that man‘s intervention reversed the downtrend that saw CO2 heading towards 180ppm, a level that can no longer support plant life. Who knows, it may even help stave off the inevitable impending ice age by an extra few centuries as well.
