Inclined to agree. Kept my ZA share trading account open when I left planning to invest still...but just doesn't make any sense. I have some confidence in the SA businesses but they're overshadowed by bigger issues (political, infra, social, FX)...which I don't see disappearing anytime soon.

Think I've still got like 5% ZA exposure but thats about it.

As recent guest to this beautiful country I maybe have some distance to look bit more objectively.

SA needs every warm body professional and yet it excludes giant share of them, government would rather chose to leave post open then to employ non AA candidate and in some instances lower or omit criteria in order to get in AA candidate.

If you look at requirements to enroll university non AA candidate has to score 98% and only 2% are admitted yet it allows 70% candidates to have only 60% (kzn medical).

Do you really think that 10% of people in our suburb want to work outside of SA, away from their families just for fun.
Imagine what would be if they contributed and worked in SA?

People can leave and are entitled to their opinion but it saddens me to see when in many instances constructive criticism is seen as racism.

in the same way the previous regime brought about huge costs, so will the reversal of the effects of that regime incur costs

Well you are right but we are speaking in context of 21 century, world today is different than 50 years ago.
Why do you think that every hight ranking zim politician is going outside of zim for medical treatment?
Because they tilted balance too much and they lost all the skill set.

I'm not sure if you have child but imagine it is sick and once available treatment in SA is not available any more, do you have resources to send it to EU or any other county?
One thing for sure is that top dogs in government will definitely have resources to do so.

The offset scale of what? The only way to answer that question is by deviding people into ethnic groups. The key mindset of racism.

If you truly believe in progress as a human race, "the right direction" business focus should be on the knowladge of possible candidates and overlook skin color.

Kids born after the apartheid years came to an end are going to colleges, universities and starting careers today. Yet there is still this talk of unbalance and what should be fair all based on skin color. The moment you split people into these groups and focus on what only one has, does or needs you are a racist.
