Is it worth it buying an Iphone?

Ok so, I think these phones are exquisite! They look so nice and I want one. Is it worth it buying one, an unlocked one of course. Do any of you guys have one? Also if I were to get one, where/from whom would be the cheapest to get it from?

The one person I know that has it uses it as an iPod, not sure it much use as a phone yet

for me the iphone is totally over rated. i'm not a big fan of apple products though and do you know that an ipod screen is not covered by the warranty. i mean of all the things that can go wrong with an ipod surely a cracked screen has got to be top of the list? on the basis of owner neglect apple wont repair a damaged ipod screen and it's not negotiable or open to mitigating circumstances. i would imagine iphones will suffer from the same affliction...
