I'm hoping some tech wiz can help me figure out what is wrong or happening o my line.
Couple weeks ago i was hit by lightning, got a new router, setup and noticed that gaming and streaming weren't as they were. Checking all settings and everything was good, sync, attenuation, noise all in the excellent levels. Gaming was very laggy and streaming was fine but wouldn't hold a contestant 1080p and would drop to 240p every no and then and build up again to 1080p. Then after a few minutes drop to 240p or 384p and build up and repeat. (Busy uploading a video of the gaming issue on PS4 so you can see)
Then one day i got the port rest and everything went to super awesome and how it was. Great, until this morning. I unplugged the router for 3 hours or so due to lightning. When i connected again it is doing to same thing as before. So i have gotten the port reset 3 times today to no win. Some were a little better and one time it was worse.
I did a traceroute and all looks ok (as far as i can tell, see below)
Is this something on the line, even though it all shows 100%? Something at the port hub box? must i wait?
Any shedding of light is much appreciated
