Out of everyone I know who ever owned an Opel, there is not a single bad thing I can say about them. Their engines are die-hard and rarely fail. If I hadn't totaled my Corsa 10+ years ago, I would probably still have it

I've had a few and they have all been good. I would say that the ones assembled in Germany were more reliable than the ones assembled in Brazil. But the German ones tend to be more premium models.

Slightly surprised there are no "Oupiel'' quips yet. Unless it is more a Kaapie thing.

No, the Grandland he is taking about is an Opel, not that it makes any difference. Maybe the newer one will be based on the Peugeot.
The Grandland is the equivalent of the Peugeot 3008. Same engine and gearbox and basically the same body. The Peugeots are better specced than the Opels and both have a 5 year / 100 000km service plan with 20 000km service intervals.

True, I must have been thinking about the Mokka, for some reason I thought there was an earlier version.
