Is OR Tambo open to public to see off family ?

As above, when I drop someone off at OR Tambo, can I enter the terminal to greet them, or m I restricted to the drop off area. My daughter in emigrating to Canada next month, and it will suck to see her off at the drop off area.

We were hoping to share a meal at one of the restaurants before she departs.

I am getting conflicting info when I google search.

CTIA is now open so I would imagine ORT is also.

Not sure but it was open back in Jan prior to the last wave. Saw of a family member in the terminal and some restaurants where open.

Yes, they are open now. They no longer require a boarding pass to get into the terminal building, people are walking friends/gfs/etc right up to the boarding pass scanners.
