Is pings internationally

Hi there.
Today i started with a new IS uncapped account. My pings to google.com at the mo is going like

Is this normal?
About 2 months ago I had a gamco uncapped account and my pings were usually to london sites about 600-700ms.

Is anybody else experiencing abnormally high pings at the mo or is it just me?
Will it stay like this or will it go down later in the month?


Also me and my roommates an our neighbours(we share a line) usually play a lot of wow/eve. Does anybody know of a way that we can specify that traffic to a certain ip gets prioritized?

Not possible unless you tunnel over a prioritized port like 80 (HTTP) or 21 (FTP) but that requires that you have a server overseas that you can establish the connection to.

What you want is an unshapped and uncapped ADSL account.

Recently IS pings have been over 1200ms during business hours. They revert to +-600ms at night and on weekends.

If you play games on overseas servers, you should get an unshaped SAIX account.

my int pings are also around 1300, and int browsing is slow at the moment also.

Well I'm not sure where IS have their terrestrial base station but if it's in Gauteng then the bandwidth and pings would make sense - nearly the whole of Gauteng has been and still is overcast today.
