That will be a comeback of note!

If they do it right, I don't see why they can't make a success from a new gen console :D

I suppose every electronics firm, and any firm, needs the $$$ these days ...

Speaking of comebacks

Imagine if Commodore would make a comeback?
Now that would be a mother of all comebacks.
For the younger guys out there, this is what us 30 somethings used to play back in the day.

The Commodore company as been revived since its mid - 90s bankruptcy. It can't really be referred to as just a "Commodore" as that was the manufacturer - they made a variety of systems.

I remember PCGameworld use to sell an Atari gaming machine a few years back.

Definitely not an Atari 2600, though.

Good times...

Well for sega to make a console would be stupid since they wont feature a single EA title on it (EA didnt support the dreamcast remember) there's still alot of animosity between the two companies so coming out with a console wouldnt be such a gud Idea. Remember each current gen console has something going for them which they can build on, MS got XBL, ps3 has blu ray, wii has shakey control. what can sega bring to the table to take clients away from those companies ? Sonic err... dont think so since every sonic game up to now since sonic adventure on the DC sucked.

SEGA will win by sheer support for their venture by the Kids who are now the fathers buying games for their kids ;)

If there is a SEGA out there I will buy that for my kids instead of any of the others, because I grew up with Sega.

Sega 8bit
Sega 16bit
Sega Saturn

OMG the memories

I never owned a SEGA console growing up... But I have some very fond memories of gaming on a SEGA console though! I will support this for nostalgic purposes and who knows, maybe SEGA can pull of a brilliant comeback with a market-leading console?

I'd bet every single hair on my stubby little ass that should they re-enter the gaming market, it will be very much Wii-inspired. For kids. And those casual gamer things. So....count me out.

naaahh......

the gonna have to bring something new to the table - stealing an xbox/ps3 fanboy is gonna be tough...

even if we did grow up on sega - don't mean we gonna buy them again...there's just so much M$ & Sony are offering.
