Running on the 512k Business package
Always the same router giving hassles and I agree with you
I do not get full speed only 24K/s where fiber gets full

Well, IS is only good for local. The only thing is, SAIX can be more expensive and you get hardcapped. Where as with IS, you get Softcapped to local only for 30gigs (my account). So it depends what you use it for.

But SAIX is faster in any case.....unless they solve the IS problems

Oh ya, one more thing just to add to the thread. Is there actually any way to speed up your IS connection, without relying on the weather? :)

Yup 512k Business line over Sat is appalling - always has been and i suspect always will be.

You would think with the amount of threads this topic generates - and yes i start a few - IS would wake the **** up - guess they are from the same school as Telkom when it comes to offering a good service.

Well atleast you can call a helpdesk. I wish I could find someone that works with the IS newsserver. Just once, I would like to find one. Hide out in the parking lot with a lead pipe, waiting for him to go to he's car. Then I'll show him what being throttled to 3-5kb on a news server for no reason feels like with a lead pipe
