Telkom says that it is not yet ready to comply with the requirements of the ADSL Regulations for uncapped local bandwidth.
So what's the fscking point!?While local bandwidth will not be capped users will still be billed for any bandwidth used after reaching their monthly usage limit.
You can already BUY local bandwidth. There's no bleeding difference!
You mean if Neotel wasnt a telecommunications company - but they are.If Neotel was smart, they would jump at the opportunity to offer fixed price local bandwidth. Telkom will have to adjust their thinking then. Hope that Neotel will at least try to kick Telkom in the jewels.
One year after the regulations came into force they are still not ready but they will be ready in 6 days time. They will probably call in the consultant on Wednesday.“Telkom has committed to ICASA to be in compliance with respect to the regulation ‘local bandwidth shall not be subject to the cap’ by 1 November 2007,” Telkom said.
Is Telkom lying about ADSL Regulations?
but SAIX accounts are stil faster even if they are shaped - i see a clear speed differents on the News Servers - so when local bandwidth is free, the overall speeds should improve too.
