Is the Lenovo Core i3 G5080 Laptop enough for a Diploma IT(SD) student?

I need to purchase a new laptop and need to know if it will be adequate for the course. Its specs are. Ram 4gig. Processor Intel Core i3-4005U 3M Cache 1.7Ghz. Hdd 1TB. With windows 8.1

I'd say yes for most senarios. For software development it is always nice if the IDE opens quickly, if you don't have to wait long for compilation of code, if the app. is responsive when debugging etc. but you can get away with an entry-level computer if you are patient (IRL development productivity is genuinely enhanced by faster computers). Do you know which language(s) you will be learning or something more about the diploma ?
