Is there a Facebook Guru (genius) on myBB

Hi All

Long story short...

I created a Facebook Account with the intention of promoting a monthly party that gets held at a club.
Then created a Page for the purpose of marketing this event. All was going well... Two profiles (personal and page) were running in tandem until somebody reported the page (or the profile - don't know which).

Nett result: Facebook suspended the account. I appealed the suspension and they (FB) replied that I need to provide proof of ID to be able to re-establish the account/page. I created the profile under a pseudonym and didn't have an ID book with the same name. I emailed them explaining everything. They eventually sent a link which was intended to consolidate the page and the profile to just a page. The email indicated that all the followers / contacts / data would be consolidated via a download they would send.

Day or so later I got an email. Clicked on the link. And a file downloaded. The process was step by step... And by all accounts appears to have worked. I set up an administrator account using my real personal details etc.

But for some obscure reason I cant get back into the account. It shows up if I Google it. But I can't administer it. Can't get back in.

So... Rather than losing what precious hair I have left - I'd like to make contact with somebody on the East Rand of JHB that is well versed in the complexities that is FB that can help me get control of this much needed account.

I'll spring for beers and a quality dinner if you would afford me an hour of your time to help me sort this mess out.

That sounds dodgy as heck, why wouldn't this just happen through a browser?

Facebook. Go figure. Email came from FB though. Was legit. Its the process (apparently) they employ to reinstate a suspended account. As mentioned - am FB illiterate and kind of at their mercy to get my followers back.

Sounds like your Account that was used to promote the party was merged into regular event page (ie, a page you just like), then your personal account was made admin of that page.

You won't be able to log back into that page(as a normal account), you go to the page from your personal account, and from there access the admin section for that page, from what I remember.

Thanks Wezz. It kind of does. But for some reason when I do try go in... Its not recognizing my username (which i chose my cell number for) nor/or my password. Not sure if its because there are cookies that need deleting... Or some setting I keep missing. I've tried unsuccessfully for about two hours over the weekend. Hence the offer of dinner and beers to somebody that does know their way around Facebook to assist...
