Hi,
From last 2 hours i am only connected to EDGE in Midrand. From last week i am getting download speeds like 5 Mbps. But today its only EDGE. Is anybody else in midrand also having problem? Is it a known network issue, if yes when will it be back?

Hi CEO/CTO/Cell c,
Please check what is happening to cell c network in Midrand? There is difinately something going on because my internet with 95% signal on HSPA+ has gone down to Edge with 20 % signal. It is like that from 6 o clock this evening may be even before that because i only logged in at 6. In the whole 4 hour period for 10 minutes it is connected to WCDMA/HSDPA/3g with 20% signal but there is not even 1 KB of through put when connected on WCDMA/HSDPA/3g. When connected on EDGE i get decent speeds for EDGE.
Please check. I hope it is goign to be fixed tonight.

Thanks,
kotesh

I have received a call from cell c's technical department regarding the problem. They have sorted out the problem. The guy said the problem was the capacity issue of base station in midrand and now it is fixed. I am very happy with the service from Cell_c rep here. I could not get hold of anybody in call centre even after holding on phone for an hour but just sending PM fixed the problem.

I am in halfway house. My speeds did not improve but they came back to normal. My problem was not about speeds but connecting only to EDGE. That is fixed and now i can conect to 3G.

Hi Cell C,
I am having exactly same problem again from last half an hour. I assume it is the same problem as last time. Can you please help?
It mostly connects to Cell ID 61621.
But sometimes it also connects to 31621, 31620, 11620.
