Is there an easier way to have constantly updating text in Adobe Premiere Pro?

I just wanted to make a video where I track numbers on a screen and add them up.

Like; the original video is of me playing Star Wars. I want to add up all the damage I did, but I want to add it up on screen.

Attacks: Damage is deal (8120)
Then I want a small section in the corner to say Total Damage Dealt: 8120
Attacks again: Damage is deal 13100 (crit)
Then I want the section to say Total Damage Dealt: 21220

And so forth.
The clip has been cut from 3 minutes to 30 seconds so it's all happening very fast.
Does anyone know how to get the text to update like that?

(sorry if stupid question I am newbie)

You'll need to run an After Effects script, or the Numbers effect plugin within AE.

Premiere does not have that capability.

I found a workaround, but it is very tedious. I guess is best for me to work my way up.

Thank you genetic!
