Ok so atm i pay afrihost R145 a month for 5gb data , but in FEB it might only be 2gb of data, so i was looking for a replacement now all ready , i am really enjoying the mifi.

http://www.telkommobile.co.za/plans/plan/smartplan-100#8

i see they offer s3 mini for R169 a month with 5gb .

I could sell s3 mini for around 2k , which will pay for the first 12 months of the contract.

is there any catch to this? :p

Otherwise i will have to sign up :p

I do have coverage even LTE coverage.

Is that 5GB per month or once off? The advert doesn't seem very clear.

I think it's for when you're already a TM customer, then they will just add the new contract to your existing account.

Let the Telkom Mobile MyBB team help you to complete the form. :)

How will you stop your sim from roaming on MTN and getting bitten by the OOB shark?

I googled a little and it seems their APN is "internet" like most of our SPs.

Settings > Wireless and networks > More Settings > Mobile networks > Network operators > Tap on 8ta > Done.

If you want to roam between the two, like I do, just choose "Select Automatically" instead of selecting 8ta. Done.

I asked in store about the 5GB and was told it is a once off 5GB which rolls over until it is up, not monthly 5GB.

I'm not really surprised. The cretin at the shop was very confused when I asked about it and had to check on his computer. Going to get this.

Read the fine print carefully, take a screen shot of the above promotion that way you can have peace of mind if you get a billing shocker. It can be there word against mine.

Not sure if itemilised billing is compulsory and caller line identity is compulsory if so the deal works to around R194.50

The OP is asking if there's a reason not to take the deal. Fighting takes time and time is money.

And billing mistakes happens much more often than they should (A lot of people had problems terminating their i5promos)

Personally I had a billing problem that they just didn't fix. I kept paying, but they closed my number without any reason and any warning. No one was able to call me on my cell for the last 2 weeks. I cannot buy stuff with my credit card online. I can't port the number. And I have no idea if it will ever be fixed.

Secured the last s3 mini at tygervalley.

Will pick up tomorrow , as did not have my bankstatements today.

Not sure what will happen to online order , will tell them to cancel

Guy in store told me no charges for billing and clip , but think he was lying even after i told him , on website it says it cost money.
