Agreed, but the thread was about reasons not to get the contract.
The websites says it's a R200 fee.

no connection fee for me , think its only if you order online.
Again will need wait for debit order to run , but i paid nothing in store and my account is on R0.

If it was 1994, the sms bundle would definitely have been a deal breaker.
Lol. Only time I send smses is if I am forwarding merchant service messages to my gf from fnb. Oh, and if I enter competitions.

Nope. its free for online orders aswell. Clearly stated by the person that calls you if you do the online order. Sim & Connection and delivery is free. The debit order goes off within 48h after they phoned you and the package gets dispatched right after that.

Yes, Whatsapp has killed the sms. I don't even use my 25 per month at the moment. I managed to get my Dad to start using Whatsapp today, so now I'm considering this contract.
Has the contract been working well for you? I'm considering getting this deal for my next phone. It's the same price as the S3 mini on Cell C, but I'd rather have the 5.5gb of data than 100 smses.

Have you checked TM data coverage in your aria?
It works fine, I've been using the 8ta 10gb package for over 2 years now.

Billing yes, i was billed r200 connection fee, i must still go to the shop and get it credited. I know i was going to get billed got the invoice last month, i told the guy he said it if the money does go off i must just just go in the shop and he will get the money credited to my account , because the connection fee should be free.
I am really enjoying this contract this far. The minutes last 6 months and the 8ta data rolls over for 2. The MTN roaming works well with an on screen message to remind you. Managing without smses has been quite easy. I haven't been billed yet but the phone works well so far.
