Depends on whether you are bothered on how your high value items look. Spray paint them a awful colour or spray paint STOLEN in bright red on the back / bottom , that way the feckers can't easily sell it. You could also make them appear to be broken.

What about the toothed track of the gate motor? What about going over the gate/fence/wall and attacking the gate motor itself for manual release or pressing the open button on the motherboard?

Personally i would just load 10 shopping trolleys with spare bricks and ram them all at the same time into the gate to break through
