Got a cold call from a TB rep. Was going to drop the call when I decided to give him a hearing.

This is what you get.

-R50 airtime @ R1.50 a minute to any network.

-free TM to TM

-if you use 4 sms you get an additional 50sms free for the day.

-an upgrade from 75mb to 300mb to use every month.(specific to this offer)

- free wifi at any of the TM hotspots

- all the above with Samsung galaxy S3 mini for R169/month

-you can get the normal Galaxy S3 for an additional R100/month.

If you know of a better deal please let me know.

yes not bad. data is good. calls and sms's from only R50 is very minimal though.. unless you really never call or sms, you will definitely run out.

You can only make 33 mins of calls a month. That is a bit stingy. You will find yourself topping up 3-4 times a month, unless you don't call very often and avoid unnecessary speaking

I just spoke to the rep and she tells me you get 50 minutes to any network, which imo makes it a fantastic deal. Thanks, DrYes :)

Yes pretty good deal..... I noticed TM compares favourably with cellc on data and minutes aswell as contract deals.

I would go with a bit more data.
300mb doesn't cut it anymore.

thanks for the clarification.

one question, does TB use their own limited 3g network or is it the roaming MTN network for data specific to this package.

Mine was an upgrade and it's on the MTN roaming network atm. I'm sure the rep would have mentioned if it was specific to TM 3g?
