Is this a legit transaction (steam) or a scam

I bought some games on the steam summer sale, but today, when i checked my account it looks like I was billed twice per transaction

The next example is from my statement:

Transactions not yet processed on your account up to 25/07/2012
20/07/2012 ***** VALVE SOFTWARE SEATTLE AUUS 20.44

but under my processed transaction
Posting Date_______Transaction Date______Description_________Funds in______Funds out
25/07/2012__________23/07/2012__________PURCHASE/CNP___________________R 21.12
_______________________________________Steampowered.com
_______________________________________Bellevue WAUS

Any idea why this dual-billing and different descriptions?
I know these are the "same" purchases as all my other steam purchases i made this week show similar discrepancies in description and in amount... Any idea why this is?

PS: sorry for the weird table

I'm afraid I can't really understand that table.

I have never known steam to mess up on transactions. Maybe check your inventory for a second copy of the game you bought?

Just check your account statements both on your credit card and steam account. It should give you pretty detailed info. I would ask that you post a cap of your steam account but some people prefer to keep theirs private.

If you're billed the same amount twice, same date & time, don't worry, it happens often at the banks and I'm actually surprised that people don't notice it immediately when opening an account. They'll reverse one when they do the final approval/processing of the transactionthough.

However in this case it doesn't look like double billing since the 2 amounts are different. So are the dates. You probably bought 2 things.

The problem is the Forex price is different. So it looks like 2 legit transactions. Contact steam to fix. If they're slow or unhelpful, your bank will be.

I mostly use this account for online purchases and therefore i noticed the changes in amount.
extract from my bank statement - the purchase that was listed twice for R20.44 is correct as i bought the game as a gift as well, but where does this price difference and the billing description come in? R20.44 is changed to R21.12; R102.27 changed to R106.01; etc.

I checked my steam account and there it's only one copy for each purchase...

Could it have been stuck in clearance and then when it was cleared the exchange rate had changed?
