Received this message from MTN on my prepaid sim:

"Out of airtime? No worries. Call any MTN to MTN number & the receiver can pay. Dial 127 then the cell number & hit dial."

Surely the caller first need the receivers permission to allow this?

This has been available for decades.

You could always do reverse charge calls on a Telkom landline.
