Is this normal

I use du meter and i've noticed that my download speed continually changes, jumping from short periods (1-5 secs) of nothing to anywhere between 1 and 70 KB/s. My main gripe is the period where nothing happens, no download or upload.

Anybody know why this happens?

its just erratic activity, its not ideal and not normal no but if you are in a bad area.. it happens. Is this a problem you've had for a while or just today? I ask because my performance has been erratic today too, I get gaps similar to the ones you described and tried a constant ping to try sort the stuttering to no avail.

I think its possibly network problems and probably a temporary thing.

it was before that antowan because when it went down we couldnt connect and its something that happens alot moe often than the whole network going off

hi slim, not sure how long its been happening but ever since i've had du meter i've noticed it. Wonderboom tower but i'm very far away. +- 10km

I've had it all along on Wonderboom, but I get a strong signal from Sunnyside as well, so I thought it might be tower hopping. I've confirmed on the UTD that it does hop around a bit. The other thing that I noticed with Wonderboom is that I get a lot of uplink failures, although I'm almost right under the tower.
