May I one day have these kind of problems......

:D

If I had the means, it would be TT all the way

Either way, enjoy !!

True, but I've done it before. I'll be honest just looking at the ticket pricing and re-selling issues it does make the TT seem a lot less of a pain. Grab a picnic basket and go sit on a hill. Dop and watch bikes all day. Wife will hate it though. In England at least she can go to walk the streets and go shopping. On Isle of man for that 2 weeks it's only booze and bikes :D. Nothing else happens on the Isle for those 2 weeks.

You just described heaven!

Damn it man, I wish I actually made this decision earlier... 4 weeks are feeling like a day now since I need to get the wife a Visa on her SA passport... Fark me. Doubt I'll be able to pull this off in 4 weeks or less. Guess I'll have to get cracking today... If this fails RWC it is. Hold thumbs :p

Aside from the SA matches, and disregarding ticket prices... which others would you want to go to?

Damn that's a tough one. I'll check the games quick. I'll gladly watch a European team vs a Southern Hemisphere team if no SA games.

I think I'll just have to go to the RWC, I highly doubt I'll be able to get everything done in 4 weeks or less. Maybe just take my time and plan a UK trip over October and see what games I can catch there. Make it a family visit more than a RWC tour.

OOOOO Ireland vs France should be a great game 11/10/2015

I want to cut down on commuting too much so I'm looking at games on the next day at the same or nearby venue…
Sun 20 Sep - Pool B Samoa v USA
Sun 27 Sep - Pool A Australia v Uruguay
Sun 4 Oct - Pool C Argentina v Tonga
Sat 10 Oct Australia v Wales

Then maybe a few more in Leicester…

Watching a game in the Millennium stadium alone would be a highlight. Even if I need to travel to Cardiff.
I'm thinking of just making it a family visit and at least watch one game while there. Will definitely aim to watch this game as a highlight. Rest of the matches I'll just watch at a fan park or something. Should be epic. Women can then do as they please :p

I'll be going to the fan parks. The RWC tickets are not cheap even if you are earning pounds!

Millennium is a maybe for me - I dont see any matches I want to go to during the pool stage and I'd have to haul arse either to or from Twickenham for the quarters.

We should meet up me, you and bwana when in the UK for a few pints :)

I'll cement the dates with the wife tonight but looking at the flight rates on Virgin seems like 02/10/2015 going and 24/10/2015 return seems to be the cheapest on economy with the dates I had in mind. About R 24k (R 12k per person) which isn't bad when you think the RWC is on. Going to check Emirates and BA now too.

BA - R 23k
EM - R 22k

True,

I think it's about a 3 hour train ride from London to Cardiff. So it's a 6 hour round trip. bleh.

Have you been able to source tickets yet?

I might make the SA vs Scotland one if there are tickets. (I'll be pretty tired though as we'll land the morning of the 3rd)
And then maybe the SA vs USA game then the Ireland vs France game.

This all will depend on the ticket availability. I highly doubt these ones you mentioned would be sold out though. But who knows, they not very popular matches.

I applied for the SA matches a couple of months ago and I just emailed the organisers and they said I could amend those choices with what ever ones I like... subject to availability of course.
