Israel attacks Iran’s capital with explosions booming across Tehran

Report: US and Israeli militaries practiced tonight’s Iran strike during Biden administration

The US and Israel practiced tonight’s attack against Iran about a year ago, ABC News reports, citing an unnamed source in Israel familiar with the matter.

It was the first exercise that war-gamed an offensive strike against Iran’s nuclear program, the source says.

The exercise was planned and executed during the Biden administration, “But we did not think a year ago that this would happen now,” the source says.

They have absolutely no confirmation that they have succeeded in destroying Iran's nuclear weapons program. Neither can they confirm if Iran secured any of its enriched uranium. The only way to know for sure is to go and have a look for yourself. This isn't going to be achieved via diplomacy because all it will be is a ruse. For them to know with the best amount of certainty is to put boots on the ground.

If anything, from the West's perspective, Iran has just become more of a threat because of the coalition's own doing. Bombing these facilities does not spell an end to this confrontation; it has only emboldened Iran.

Even if this now ends in negotiation, what stops Iran from continuing where it left off?

War is on the horizon.
True. Trump didn't think this through. His sick mind thinks it'll somehow force Iran to negotiate. It's not in America's interest to be dragged into this but the Israel lobby is powerful in America.

When Trump says this is over now and thanks God etc..... Know that he's lying, as he routinely does.

This is far from over, there's a masterplan plan unfolding here and it doesn't end in Iran just not having nukes. That alone changes nothing of significance and is hardly worth the risks involved, bearing in mind that Iran's nukes were meant to be no more than a defensive deterrent.

As an outsider, my view is simple. A forced change of regime will be catastrophic. There are signs of this being put into the cogs. Reza Pahlavi did not randomly call for an uprising. The problem I have is that such a process is never democratic. Even if the West and Israel win their war in Iran, it is bound to lead to a civil war. We could potentially have a war that will result in another war. This will pull in both the Middle East and West Asia. For the global community, given the significant economic value of that region, it would be immensely punitive.

This, however, in my opinion, will not result in World War 3. Whoever is banging those drums is fearmongering. Technically, the US and Iran have for a very long time not been at peace. I mean, the US doesn't even have a diplomatic presence in Iran.

As a couch commentator, I can't provide solutions, but I can get my own read on how events will unfold.

Hopefully, there won't be a conventional war in Iran, and the issue of nuclear weapons can be resolved peacefully. I just don't think that there is enough time. This said, Saudi Arabia is also seeking nuclear capabilities. The gatekeeping for being nuclear-enabled is getting ugly. At some point in time, nuclear weapons won't be limited to deterrence, but to enacting enforcement.

USA control is dominated by mostly Jewish people.

Just go Google who owns most of the Media/Healthcare/Hollywood/Politics/Big Business/Banking there.

Then go and ask Google 'If you want to know who rules over you, just look for who you are not allowed to criticize.' Any criticism of Israel or Jewish people or of the Holocaust immediately labels you an antisemite.

that control seems mostly by the evangelical "christians united for israel" lobby - not jewish ppl

Iran is too numerous to invade with actual troops. Israelis have not the manpower and US does not want to risk their people. So that won't happen. It is a country of 90 million people with a very educated population, eg they currently have up to 3 million tertiary students enrolled at university.

It is telling however that:

1. Israel wasn't able to destroy the Iranian nuclear program on her own.
2. It seems that many Iranians are rallying behind their regime. So these strikes may have a counter-productive effect.
3. Trump may lose a lot of his voters, those who were America first at least.
