I don't think he said anything about his employers, boss etc, erg. In any case, if a government employee,
e.g. a public sector medical doctor, was barred from making comments criticising the ANC you'd be good with that?
Criticizing a political party is not the same as criticizing the government or a government institution, the two are quite separate entities.

Come to think of it, Folau was at least being honest by expressing the written word that he believes ?
He was being honest but also just cherry picking.

I don't mind if he thinks going to hell for my choices itsy choice.

Well, what if said department simply decided they don't want their doctors criticising a specific party?

I'm not and never have, I am saying he is wrong because I disagree with the tenants of his religion and that he is also a bit of a hypocrit.

All the other christian rugby players in Australia manage not to fall foul of this, why is he the only one?

Pretty simple. Some people eat meat, others don't. Some wants milkshake with their fries, other don't. Because he decides to follow a religious practice in his way and according to scripture he is now wrong because others don't? Fark me, you sound a like Vegan attacking Meat eaters :D

As for him being employed as a rugby player, part of that includes doing certain things for sponsors.
Yes, like wearing their clothing for endorsements, attending functions and the likes. Which he does. If the sponsors don't want him to do these things they can remove his endorsement deals. Got fark all to do with the Rugby Union he's playing for.

If you are at odds with what a sponsor says and does and state is publicly then you will have problems. He is selected as a representative of Australian rugby, he wears their colours and their sponsors on his Wallaby jersey, of course he is required to be a role model and that is why there is a social media section in his contract.
Which was fine, they amended it after his last utterances.

Contrast this with Hashim Amla and Castle Lager, he made it clear that consumption of alcohol was against his religion and the they worked out a deal where he didn't have to wear the branding. What he didn't do was go on social media and say that all of the other members of his team where going to hell for supporting a beer company.

Perfect example.

Amla playing for the Proteas but not endorsing their sponsors. Yet, no problem, I mean it's his religious right to not wear branding endorsing Alcohol. So now if the Sponsor in this example was to go: O hell no! would the Proteas/CSA drop him because of it?

Exactly, yet for some reason people feel the need to have a biatch fit because of what he said and that somehow now has something to do with his Rugby playing ability...

All of them are choices except one which I think is stupid of him.

I'm amazed that people who don't believe in hell can get so upset by being told they're heading there

Which once again, could be extremely stupid even naïve. Doesn't make his view or opinion wrong based on his religion which he is very much entitled to practice and do so without fear or prejudice. He's done exactly that, practiced his religion.

Folau’s playing career in Australia was placed in jeopardy following an Instagram post on Wednesday in which he proclaimed hell awaits “drunks, homosexuals, adulterers, liars, fornicators, thieves, atheists and idolaters”

Weird thing to say when rugby itself is so gay.

Without Folau, the Wallabies will be crying this World Cup.

Even with him they will cry. 1 man doesn't make a team :)

Doesn't take away from the fact that he should be allowed to post his religious views without fear or prejudice. Don't like it, ignore it /facepalm

Yeah he is only practicing part of it the parts he does not agree with.

He gets to cherry pick so do I? Seems fair doesn't it.

Seems like you know Folua well? What blasphemous acts has he committed recently?

Again, that is his choice and he needs to justify it with his maker/deigity. That's got nothing to do with us, similarly his views also has got fark all to do with us. We can choose to ignore them.

That's the beauty of religion. So you can do the same. He's not the one who needs to justify your choices, nor do you have to justify his.
