I interpret that as, a man shouldn't have sex with another man - so it's ok for a man to be gay, marry him, even adopt a child with him - but no sex. Unreasonable to expect there to be no sexual acts obviously, but still... what part of homosexuality is wrong.

Edit: No stating whether I agree with the text or not, just presenting a possible interpretation it.

So he should be free from consequence to post any horrible thing that lives in the deepest darkest recess of the old testament?
You missed one:
If two men are fighting and the wife of one of them comes to rescue her husband from his assailant, and she reaches out and seizes him by his private parts, you shall cut off her hand. Show her no pity.
Deuteronomy 25 11-12

I see religion being in trouble at some point. As far as I understand it every religion is entitled to their own beliefs (not sure if that is in our constitution, maybe someone knows?) - so I can understand the expectation that if you believe - I dunno (trying to think of a dumb example that won't offend anyone and get me banned) - that pizza is Satan's creation, then you shouldn't encroach on other people's belief that Pizza is good... but should I not be allowed to say that Pizza eaters are going to hell? I mean - I'm not stopping anyone or killing anyone for their belief, just stating it.

Ok, so let's say social media is not the place to state your religious beliefs. Does that account for all religious beliefs, or do you now have to figure out which one's are offensive - which is hard because people are affected by fokken everything.

Also, what about within a church building, can I say whatever I want when I'm at the pew? So I can say there how pizza eaters are going to hell - is that ok? What about if a visitor comes with a friend, and he's a pizza eater. Can he be offended?

I dunno hey. Religious beliefs aren't allowed to encroach on people's rights and free will - but it looks like one of these days people's rights and free will are going to encroach on people's religious beliefs.

Not defending Folau, mostly because he's a hair grabbing tool - just thinking out loud.
Twitter should actually be a place to express religious beliefs (why, and whether it is, is another conversation), but public spaces are not good places to discuss beliefs and politics if you're a professional sportsmen. It's just bad business. On the other hand that we live in a society where businesses have to worry about backlash from employees expressing opinions is a bit sad.

What you gonna do about this post, report me to rpm and request I be banned? I ask you to please report this post as the verse I quoted surely offends you.

Yeah, I agree with this, problem is that sponsors pays millions to teams and they know that some people will associate their product with the actions of those that wear their brand - not surprised the sponsors put pressure of the ARU but it comes from society, everyone is all about boycotting things that may be associated with something they don't agree with.

I really dislike Israel's stance on this and it's not great that he was fired but I can understand it from a sponsorship point of view.

Yeah certainly is a double edged sword, you can let him be but then people will think you agree and condone it, guess never going to win with regards to free speech and the consequences its all determined by society and whats acceptable at the time.

 am not in the slightest bit offended by you posting that , but then I don't pay millions of dollars for you to wear my corporate logo to give my brand good exposure... Ban you, hell no, but If I was sponsoring you and you decided to paraphrase that sh**e on social media without any consequence I would seriously reconsider the wisdom in giving your team any more of my money.

If we think religious people have it tough, the poor comedians are getting it even worse.
Can't joke about anything that offends anyone nowadays.

If I go to a comedy show I go with the mindset that nothing is off limits.

And if I stood in a church reading those words from the book and someone recorded me posting it online you would probably still want me fired...

For instance if I went and became a Disney star and then started splashing social media with risque stuff I should expect a termination of the contract with Disney as it has the potential to hurt their brand. Same thing here

No, what you say will never and has never been the view of your employer unless they specifically say so. This is utter bullshyte and a way the SJWs have been strong arming corporations/companies into submission.

Well, just look at what happens in SA when an employee makes a racist remark on social media.. Looting, boycotting...

Nah, maybe your lack of attention to detail and not reading other people's posts might be worthy of firing though...depends on what you do for a living.

Which I agree. But it's because we've allowed it and the reason free speech is on it's last legs. Any rational human being can clearly understand someone's view might not be supported by employer. Who are we to make them take action to prove their stance/view? It's retarded. But yes, it happens.
