I think during the camp david summit israel agreed to most of the palestinian authorities requests bar a few, arafat kept demanding more. The consensus among many was that arafat was not there to negotiate, even arab leaders from other me nations were pissed off with him. Years later he admitted it was a good deal that they should have accepted. When listening to some palestinians you get the idea that there will be no compromise and there can be no israel/jews, they will gladly die martyrs as its a gift from allah and mothers will bear more children for martyrdom. The mindset is scary as fsck.
