* 2 tablespoons flour
* 1/4 teaspoon salt
* dash pepper
* 1 cup milk
* 1/3 cup sharp or mild Cheddar cheese
* 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
* dash garlic powder

PREPARATION:
In a small saucepan, heat butter over medium-low heat. Stir in flour; cook and stir for about 1 minute. Stir in salt and pepper. Gradually stir in milk. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until sauce is thickened.
Add cheese, dry mustard, and garlic powder. Continue to cook and stir until cheese is melted.

Way, way off topic, but lol :D I'll pass it on to the missus for the cauliflower and broccolli.

A lot of the early history you quote as "FACT" is pure speculation with very little reliable historical evidence. Much of the more modern stuff is so biased as to be completely untrustworthy.

I see... such as? Could you please give me an example? I am highly interested in this oppinion.

Not a source at all. He made little effort apart from posting a whole lot of tripe he culled from somewhere - probably "The Little Jewish Propaganda Book". Getting into an online debate where a whole lot of unqualified people who have made no real study of a subject hurl internet "sources" at each other is also fairly pointless. Do you, dear Omacdonald, have any academic qualification in ancient middle-east history? And what have you contributed to this "debate" apart from issuing orders to the rest of us to "debate"? Diddly I reckon. So why not just wind your neck in and go back whence you came? Unless you actually have something of value to contribute, however unlikely that may seem.

Everything i have mentioned is FACT and i have yet to see you or anyone here disprove any of these facts that i have mentioned. All you can do is write self righteous, brown nosed, pro-stupid rubbish.

So unless you are going to share with us this extensive knowledge you appear to be holding back on perhaps you should consider what i said in my original post.

Dont challenge my facts with your oppinion, because your oppinion has as much value as what i leave behind when i go to the toilet.

You can go on about history thousands of years ago, but what really matters is the current stuff.

Whoever is in power gets to write the history. So saying that facts from thousands of years ago is like asking the ANC how the state of SA is doing. They are going to say everything is just great! :)

Thanks for those kind words. I suggest your long quoted list is much the same. You cannot claim things to be facts without some kind of justification, else they are no more than the air that is between your ears. You can start with the evidence for these claims:

1. Nationhood and Jerusalem. Israel became a nation-state in 1312 B.C, 2,000 years before the rise of Islam, and was a nation before that.

5. For over 3,300 years, Jerusalem has been the Jewish capital.

As clear evidence that you yourself are purveying crap of the highest order:

Muslims pray with their backs toward Jerusalem.

Depends on geography I know, but for the most part that is mere racist twaddle, as any local Muslim will tell you.

Your facts are themselves just prejudiced "oppinion" (sic). :p

Once again you are demonstrating your inability of comprehension with your oppinion. I am not the one debating the evidence. You are.

i have described just how much your oppinion is of value within this debate, perhaps you should call upon some reference?

Your facts are themselves just prejudiced "oppinion" (sic). :p

these arent my facts? by imposing the term 'my facts' you are once again demonstrating your inability to think. in fact you have yet to demonstrate any ability to think past your prejudiced and biased charcter, which doesnt concern me, because how can i expect more.

You see when it comes to stupid people i have to admire their perserverance.

So yeah when start adding to the debate i may listen, until then enjoy your world, it sounds hollow.

Which of the 'facts' below do you dispute and why? It isn't an argument just to say "You are purveying cr*p".

I'm being serious when I ask, DO YOU ACTUALLY KNOW HOW TO ARGUE??

1. Israel became a nation-state in 1312 B.C, 2,000 years before the rise of Islam

2. For over 3,300 years, Jerusalem has been the Jewish capital.

halicon,

All he is asking for is the source of those facts. I, for one, did not know about the creation of the jewish state in 1312 BC and would like to read more on this.

As for the claim about muslims praying with their backs to jerusalem that is, at best, a misrepresentation.

Yes.

Old Halibut considers debate to be hurling vitriol at whoever disagrees with him, but cannot substantiate his supposed "facts".

Why does Halicon have to supply sources for commonly accepted history?

In any case, it's unnecessary to use ancient history in this argument. Jews have been living in that part of the world since time immemorial, there have always been Jews in Israel.

I've just been to Israel and the West Bank is basically a no-go area. We went all the way up to the Lebanese border but didn't venture into Jericho because it's in the West Bank. The local israelis we met wouldn't set foot in there.

There are hundreds of Palestinian settlements all over Israel as well, some of them are in fact very nice. Most of them are right next to highways for strategic reasons, they could cause a lot of **** if they ever decide to. But the Palestians living in Israel have a double standard, they enjoy all the benefits of living there, since the state has done a lot of good for the country, they have a much higher standard of living than they would elsewhere, but on the other hand they absolutely hate Israel on idealistic beliefs.

Anyway, the ****'s gonna hit the fan very soon.

Israel is mentioned in the Merneptah Stele (also known as the Israel Stele or Victory Stele of Merneptah) which was inscribed by Merneptah who ruled Egypt from 1213 to 1203 BC.
It is a document of Egypt's military campaigns into Canaan.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Merneptah_Stele

Under Assyrian, Babylonian, Persian, Greek, Roman, Byzantine, and (briefly) Sassanian rule, Jewish presence in the region dwindled because of mass expulsions. In particular, the failure of the Bar Kokhba's revolt against the Roman Empire in 132 CE resulted in a large-scale expulsion of Jews. It was during this time that the Romans gave the name Syria Palaestina to the geographic area, in an attempt to erase Jewish ties to the land.
So far it seems to have worked quite well don't you think? :cool:
