It’s not just BEE, race-based affirmative action must go too

I doubt these policies will go in my time. From personal experience more and more companies are aligning themselves to comply, internally and externally. Once they are engaged in this cycle, it is a cycle and they won’t deviate out. Ngwenya may have her opinion, but she is a white coconut. I really don’t see how this country backtracks or relax the rules, our society is race-based politics in policy, and even when we reach equilibrium, we still play the numbers game. Not to mention that the minority is shrinking.

The long term fix to make affirmative action obsolete (20 years of quality schooling at every school) is not happening.

Education would be the big win but that battle was lost a long time ago from redistributing spend, failed development projects of new schools and even integrating people from other communities. Slap on radical fraud and corruption for a decade and here we are..

Question is.. who is gonna pay for it? Basically they moving the cost from training and development (is it really a cost if you do the same regardless of color of person?) into tax? Yes?

At its core they basically saying the want to allow social mobility.. cool.. but a quick scan around the forum and you will see people whine incessantly about tax as much as anything. Hey I’m all for reducing inequality in society but I’m not sure people are willing to pay even heftier taxes. I’m guessing people gonna claim it’s a white tax lmfao.. But maybe I’m wrong..

South Africa is among the very highest funders in the entire world of education as a percentage of the budget. The money is not a problem at all. The fact that corrupt cadres piss away the money however ...

That and the curriculum is bad. You can pass P.E. just by showing up to class.
(I know P.E. isn't an essential subject but if it's going to be that easy why teach it?)

As they say... It doesn't matter if a cat is black or white, if it catches mice it's good to go.

We know this only potentially ends under two conditions 1) the last white person in SA dies or leaves, 2) SA suffers wholesale economic collapse.
Nr1. is a probability.
Nr2. is a certainty.

Do you honestly think the taxpayer can cope with a higher tax burden? People out there are struggling and it's getting worse.

Our education budget as a percentage of gdp is pretty high compared to most countries, the thing is it's fscking useless if not efficiently managed and our education policies suck donkey balls. That cnut vervoerd is smiling in his grave.

AA is racist because it strengthens the racist viewpoint that blacks simply cannot cut it on their own strength, they need legislation to be able to get a job.

An opinion piece like this is not worth the paper its written on. The ANC - and whatever follows it - has no inclination to properly govern. We are sliding into populism, and the ending to this story has already been written. We are merely acting out the scenes.

I'm still against P.E. having marks past participation/improvement/effort.
Main point is that exercise is good and it breaks up sitting at a desk every day for a week.
How much exercise do a lot of people do now after school? As much as PE 2/3 times a week?

The long term fix is redistribution of assets (and education in home language)

Both will not be happening for some time
