The IT Auditor will be responsible for the following:
• Possess an understanding of concepts related to information systems audit, information security, general IT controls, application controls and technology risks.
• Possess an understanding of and be proficient in the application of ITAF.
• Be able to identify and evaluate information technology audit risks.
• Perform IT Audits in the following areas of Information Systems:
• Application controls testing
• Logical Access controls testing
• Network Infrastructure audits
• IT operational audits
• SDLC
• Change Management controls
• Information System Governance
• Communication - Strong communication skills in written and verbal communication.
• Flexibility - Flexibility and willingness to learn and operate at varying levels
• Leadership - Audit planning, execution, project management and staff training
• Audit Teamwork - Building strong teamwork, skills and communication skills within the audit team and with the business process owners.
Personal Attributes
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment with professionals at all levels
• Effective communicator, both oral and written
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Thorough attention to detail, excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Must be able to travel within Africa.
Qualifications and Experience
• A Bcom (Information Systems) or Bcom Informatics or Honours Bcom (Accounting)
• Willing to or studying towards the CISA examination or completed examination.
• Proficiency using software applications including query tools, databases, spreadsheets, word processing and presentation software (Microsoft Office, Visio, etc.).
• SAP/ Sage X3/ Pastel Evolution/ Syspro experience advantageous
• Knowledge of COBIT ( Control Objectives for Information and related Technology ) framework advantageous
