OK so this is a reach out :)

I'm looking to take on a learnership for next year. Proper learnership position with (mild) salary based on year of study and contribution to study costs.

- Starting salary: R3000 (tbc when my finance lady is back from holiday)
- R5000 towards study fees per year (dependent on passing)

We're a moderately sized school with increasing IT demands - 1144 students, +- 100 staff and oodles of interesting things going on all the time. If you've never worked in a school environment, it's great - my staff are actually pretty cool, the kids are usually great, the internet is fast and school holidays are bloody wonderful.

Hit me up with any questions or if you know anyone. Ideally the position would probably work for someone straight out of matric and if you're a girl, I'll fight tooth and nail to get you because we need more girls in IT!

I started my IT career working at a school on and off for quite a number of years. Our company was contracted in, so I did not get the school holiday benefits. But other than that it was quite a fun environment to work/learn/grow in. I was asked many times to return to the client when someone stuffed up or they were not happy with the guys that ended up there.

Through the school job we made a contact that ended up buying our company out, I now work in a Data Center. Lots of Cisco/Juniper/Server work:)

Ah I am missing out on this opportunity, it sounds awesome!! A great way of learning lots of cool stuff (and maybe chowing up school WiFi... hehehe). It is a pity I am not in East London for most of the time (I study in PE)... only June - July, August, November - Feb I am in East London.

It sounds really cool... Do you guys recruit people each year?

Will be a great opportunity for an IT student. I was an IT administrator at a school in EL for 5 years and enjoyed it.

If not for salary, I would probably still be one
