I see that since I've stopped using MW, the speed seems to have improved. I wonder if those two things are connected [;)]

PS. It seems that, although Sentech indicated that I had been paying every month on my credit card on time, their systems were not actually debiting my card (the concept of bank reconcilliations obviously doesn't exist in Sentech Finance dept). So, on 20 September they passed an adjustment on my account to the value of R3250. And now they expect me to pay....hmmmm. All this AFTER I faxed my cancellation letter (to which they have not yet responded).

How to cancel: Phone, get fax number. Fax cancellation letter.
Phone bank, cancel debit order.

There really doesn't appear to be any other way... they won't get back to you even if they say they will. To be honest, I am quite happy with the service at the moment :) It's actually working which is great! (128kbps users at least).

Now if they would just turn on that honey hills tower then I can actually stay connected when the wind blows, without leaving my precious modem up in the roof :-/

koosbeer,

I've had an open ticket since July. Every week or two, I've been phoning the orcs, abusing them, threatening to cancel and telling them to put it on the ticket - it now probably looks like a novel. Once I has my ADSL installed and working, I called the call centre and told them to convert the ticket to a cancellation ticket. I then faxed a cancellation letter to Clinton Smith, Caspar Cassidy, and Marcel Raath. I haven't heard anything since. I'll give it til Monday, then I'll start calling Marcel and Michelle.
