i've done the sars efiling thing and it came through as owning them about R100.

it's getting closer to the cutoff time to make payments, so to avoid penalties, i'd like to pay them, but on internet banking, there are a lot of sars beneficiaries. their website doesn't help either (you'd think they'd make it as clear as possible so that people can pay them).

i'm assuming it's paye, but i don't want to pay the wrong one and then they steal (more of) my money.

thanks. :)

Which bank are you with? If you complete the payment on their site, it can load to your internet banking profile (at least thats how it works with Standard Bank's MyBills). Pretty easy to use. SARS have step by step screen shots on their site on how to do this as well, pretty sure they will have all payment options covered.

If your account details are on EFiling , you can pay from there.

if i log onto efiling and go to "payments" -> "general unpaid", it tells me there is nothing to pay... oh hang on...

on the left, go to "sars correspondence" -> "search notices" and then select "income tax" (the only one in the list for me) and the next drop down list "all" and click search. click the link on the search result and at the top of the next window is a "make payment" button.

from there it was fairly easy to do.

thanks for the help. i couldn't find anything on the web or their site about this. closest thing i got was a page telling me that "debit pull" is being discontinued. they should make it easier to find, like a "basket" for online shopping that shows how many items and what you owe.

i like spending money. i don't understand money. :D
