I have seen many of these records first hand at Auschwitz, Topography of terror museum, SS museum in Cologne, Nazi museum in Dusseldorf and Budapest.

Take Jabu and the Almanac figures. Happy to take the numbers used when they estimated population during the war, because you know how easy it was to walk through war zones and count.
