Olievenhoutbosch - President Cyril Ramaphosa says South Africa has entered a healing mode, where challenges such as corruption and unemployment will be addressed.

Speaking during a church service at the Hope Restoration Covenant Church in Olievenhoutbosch, Tshwane, Ramaphosa said the ANC's watershed December elective congress was a prayer to God in order to save the country.

"It was like praying, praying to our God, saying please come down and heal South Africa, come and heal our land. South Africa is being healed cause there's a new dawn, new spirit flowing through South Africa," said Ramaphosa.

In a weekend where some were taken by the spirit of 'Ramaphoria', as ordinary South Africans came out in their numbers to meet the president and line up for selfies, Ramaphosa visited parts of Gauteng and urged citizens to go and register and check their details ahead of the 2019 national elections.

During the church visit, Ramaphosa quoted several bible verses, telling congregants about the importance of humbling oneself and the renewal which he believed South Africa was undergoing.

Always comforting to hear your president believes in imaginary friends.
He was speaking at a church.
Politicians do this regularly and speak to people in a language adequate to the context.
Says nothing about his beliefs.

I understand that the "ramaphoria" is out of control but let's give the man a chance guys. Besides, he was speaking at a church so obviously his talking points will revolve around religious drivel.

I wonder which God the ANC was praying to when it decided to elect Zuma? Cos that cannot be the same one who now sent us our current saviour.

A little less voodoo and more reality from government please. Wakanda isn't real no deity's gonna come down and wave his magic wand to fix Africa.

An ambitiousness man. When he desired to become rich it was matching his abilities, so he did it well. For the last dozen years he desired to become a leader, so he achieved it. As for the politician (which any leader should be), he should know that ambition is not the thing to please God.
