My hands were so cold already from walking around the house doing my usual morning stuff that I couldnt feel my grips working :/

And the central air in the office isn't coping, feels like its under 10°C inside

I thought heated grips were for girls.
Until I put my hands on heated grips one winter morning.
It actually makes a heck of a difference.

So where do you get these magical heated grips and what's the cost?

I'm only now getting back the feeling in my fingers. This morning I also thought about getting heated grips ... my gloves were still a bit wet from Friday :(

Was the longest 10km commute in a while.

/me puts his hands around another cup of coffee.

Was a bit cold this morning in Stellies. However snow-covered mountains and crystal-clear skies are a welcome trade for frozen hands:p

Nee o jirre. I'm going home this week so that snow had better melted. I have a ground-floor flat and it's cold in the best of weather.

First time I've been cold in bed in a loooooooooooong time - and I like it cold (I keep open my windows irrespective of weather).

Whole car was frozen over this morning.

Holy hell, you guys are sissies!

The weather atm is just like a Johannesburg winter (well at least how I remember them) , cold and sunny. Which is infinitely preferable to the typical winter wetness and summer heatwaves.

My hands and legs are only now, after two hours starting to get life in them again. Had to take an additional 30km roundtrip and two freeways on the bike with vented summer gloves. :crying:

2nd morning in a row that I've had frost on both cars and a layer of frost on the grass.

But it still can't be as bad as Sutherland! Heard on the radio this morning that it was something like -14C last night. I've been there once when it hit around -8C, and that was damn cold, so wouldn't want to feel -14C

Here is Florida we have a thunder storm almost every day for the last week or so. Sometimes it would rain and there would be thunder and lightning and on other occasions there would just be the thunder and lightning. Yesterday afternoon, I stood by the window and watch how the lightning was hitting road level just 1 or 2 blocks from us. The electrics went off for about a second after a bolt hit or seemed to hit a pole about 2 blocks from me although I never aw sparks the power went off as the bolt came down near or on the pole.

The convenience store store across the road has a big tree in the parking lot which has been hit before by lightning and there is a place where it has split and the concrete blocks around the base have been shattered and blown up.

We lucky it never gets cold here like what you guys are experiencing.

I drove from Stellenbosch to CT this morning and it was terrible. I couldn't even see out of my windscreen properly the rain was coming down so hard. Had to drive 70 all the way along the N1.
