Its time for a truce

For one week now, I have been getting the performance (on my 128k package) I expect and pay for from Sentech.

They have proved that they are capable of and do have the skills to improve things.

This morning I needed a program (maguma studio 18.3mB) to debug some php code. I right-click saved it (single session - no downloader) it downloaded at 13.7kB/s - that is from a USA site ie International!

I feel that by us users being positive and not insulting Sentech (staff or company) we will achieve more co-operation and enthusiasm from them.

Yes I know we are paying for a service some people are not getting - but - as a 128k user I am happy - this does not prevent me from making a claim for a refund from Sentech for the period when the service was unusable!

Well done Sentech for the past ONE WEEK's 128k performance and it's now time to improve the 256k and 512k performances.

careful keithr... I said more a less the same thing last week and my connection went from being stable and good to something comaparable to an unrelaibale russian jet liner.

As I type this I am downloading Internationally at 4.3K... usually I get 10K from the same place...

as far as I am concerned Sentech have screwed me over way to often... for me ever to say a nice thing about them... except maybe they dont suck as much as the used to suck but they still suck. :)

vowthorn, I have just tested a download from one of my own servers in the USA and am getting a solid 12.1 kB/s - that is nothing to complain about imo.

As for Sentech, I believe in a "carrot and stick" approach - If the service goes back to what is was, I will use negative publicity as my weapon - it's far more powerful than clever insults etc on a forum such as this.

But as I have said many times the past few days, I am at last running solidly and am happy with Sentech's improved performance.

I don't see how there can be any kind of truce with any company as long as any of their customers still don't get what they pay for. Just my opinion.

Keithr, it's great that you're now happy with Sentech's offering. I presume when you mention a truce with Sentech, you mean just a truce from your side. Because the majority of other Sentech users on this forum are still getting unacceptable speeds and I'm sure a truce is far, far from an option for them.

a carrot up their ass cuz this aint service by any stretch of the imagination.

Even though I acknowledge my connection is/was fine now, with relatively okay speeds, because they have screwed us all over and me over for so long, I make sure that anyone I meet I tell that Sentech absolutely SUCKS, even though their speeds have improved.

well I am glad everyones connection is speed... I at large only get 5KB international bandwidth...
I mean if I wanted modem speeds I would stick with that.

Second level have so far only offered childish excuses for these speeds...
