Yup. Create a table of criteria for acceptance of a substance for treatment and prevention of disease. List a known effective drug and vaccine in the table generally accepted by the medical professionals.
Then list all the accepted substances currently used to treat and prevent Covid 19.
You will be horrified to see how the Covid vaccines rate.

I come in here every now and again to see if the argument has progressed whenever the latest news of the efficacy of the vaccine and the non efficacy of Ivermectin comes in. It's amazing to see the resistance to evidence that some don't want to hear.

Looks like there's some credibility at stake and they should rather just go quietly. But they won't...

And yes, I know people are dying. We all want a cure. So far only Dexamethasone, oxygen and now therapeutic dose anticoagulation have good evidence to back up their use.

Obviously, if he was that good and cared, he'd not be abusing Twitter for his crusade, rather applying himself better.

I have a pet theory with binary thinkers. People with a single brain cell can only accept one possibility. With two brain cells, four. ...

This week we saw the troll parrot brigade, you encourage, commenting on the Groote Schuur / News 24 article. "No deaths" (while South Africa sits at 5% double jabbed, 10% single jabbed), yet we are mourning the loss of somebody that passed away after his second shot in one of the countries with the highest jab rates.

Twitter prophets with pet causes matter, real life is anecdotal.

You may or may not get it (ambiguity deliberate, both apply).

I can't pass judgement either way on what he says. Unless you bother to highlight relevant pieces his opinion is just another "Twitter rant".

And BTW, this entire debate HAS NEVER BEEN "an-either-vax-or-IVM" debate! It is only you lot that turns it into that because you want to create conflict.

It is about BOTH. We need the vaccines. (The WHO says so, so it must be true).

But critical thinkers not busy with forum character assassinations know different.

In reality, there is lots of evidence that vaccines do work against a range of diseases. The issue is how long is it going to take? The evidence is that it IS going to take years and years and many cycles. And many booster shots as well.

In the meantime, the health system needs urgently effective alternative treatments and preventative measures (short term) also to help them cope!

And while the World fiddles and plays the "vaccines or broke record", very little to NOTHING is being done about finding effective treatments and medical prevention measures.

And that means our stupid governments will continue with LDs, masks, SD crap, and booze bans.

Just need to highlight that. The anti-IVM crusade began long before the vaccines were available.

Even now, we don't know the long term effects. We already see the UK monitoring, contemplating if a third ... round is needed. Consider what we were sold on initially, we've moved very far from that.

It's this idiocy the jab-or-bust crowd does not get. I've long since discussed this issue with some friends, predicted the jab will eventually be like the annual flu shot. Consider something like flu and the cold. Despite years of living with it, deaths, we've never been able to find a cure for it like, unlike other things where a vaccine will work. Yet in utter arrogance, some now think that a new virus mutating and which we're still finding out about, will be curable in a year. It simply shows the disconnect.

Then we have the edge cases where people can't get the jab. They're slated, made to feel guilty. Somehow their lives don't matter. These people can't even risk giving a loved one a hug.

No wonder people eventually become polarized.. Either/or - no place for a balanced view. So many idiots on both sides, just like politics, just like the LGBTQAOA+ crowd.
