And so it continues - journalists, this website and all of us are throwing rocks of the written form. I thinks its time we get genuine rocks and destabilize this place as was done in the years of yonder.
Perhaps we need martyrs like Steve Biko to die in prison before our government will take us seriously. Likely that is the only form of protest they understand. All the articles and mud slinging in the last few years have done nothing to wake them up.
Its appreciated that the media, this forum and all of us bitch and moan - but is that enough. Is it in anyway having an effect in the way that they are thinking/running this place - NO!
Will business take up arms against government?
Corporate business milks enough out of this country - they grease the mechanics of our government. To now turn and raise their fists concerning the telecoms industry - pffft - If they did, those companies would have my vote for a Nobel prize!
If you think about the banking industry and how much they coin out of this nation - their profit margins far exceed the need to re-look how they are communicating. The major 4 banks generate most of their money in the corporate world - the retail market which is us mere mortals is simply an avenue which brings and added benefit to the shareholders.
So they make enough money - **** more than enough - nothing tells me that they would challenge the DoC and its comrades.
The only business that will make any effort are those who are directly involved in this stuggle. ISP's, website owners, SMME's and the general public - and we all know what the government thinks of the general public - diddly squat! For those who have been voted into power to represent us - they only need a new car and the right time of year and then they walk across to the other side.
So the only outcome I see is: Someone call up Mark Thatcher and get him to foot the bill for getting rid of Poison Ivy.
PS! Mark if you do take the offer - don't get caught

We'll pay you in the blood, sweat and tears that are being drawn out from us via bandwidth!
*sigh*
