Lol, scraping together 25bar ..
He's got that in his Petty Cash register
He's benefited to the tune of billions over the years. 25bar doesn't even blip on his radar.

Problem is accounting for it legitimately.. getting it paid has never been the point.

Sound familiar? *cough*
"Secure complex" but the burglary was only discovered on Sunday.
, including laptops containing vital information.
Siener Sollie is right again.

Not sure if I called it on these forums, but I've said to a few friends I expect a break in again. It's not always about info going missing, but also getting access to info you didn't have.

These things are predictable, but the experts ... erm ... somehow don't get it.

Also good chance the people doing the stealing are active or past members of Zuma's SSA so the same people likely responsible for security of state hardware/software. They probably needed to see what the commission on certain people.

Jacob Zuma 'on the comeback trail' as he says he'll join civic body Sanco

Former president Jacob Zuma used his birthday celebrations hosted by the South African National Civic Organisation (Sanco) on Thursday to announce his return to active politics, saying he was joining the body as a “full time” member.

Addressing a room full of Sanco members, at the KwaZulu-Natal Sharks Board in Umhlanga, Zuma said he had decided to join the organisation.

“I have been to many organisations and observed quite a lot. I have decided that I now go to my region. I really want to show people something beautiful because I am a resident from Nkandla and I have decided to join Sanco full time.”

About SANCO Greater Tshwane

We, the South African National Civic Organization (SANCO), pledge our commitment to a unified, democratic, non-sexist, non-racist, non-exploitative South Africa based on the freedoms, rights and values enshrined in the Bill of Rights of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa.
SANCO as a civic movement, is constituted by the residents of South Africa and is founded on the basic needs, aspirations and expectations of the masses of the people.
The guiding motto is: “People-centered and People-driven”.
We believe that the commitment referred to above and the attainment of our aims and objectives can only be achieved in a united country with strong governance, an effective civic movement and a vibrant civic society.
SANCO promotes nation building, truth and reconciliation, socio-economic development, political development, transformation, and peace and prosperity.

What We Do
  • nation building
  • truth & reconciliation
  • socio-economic development
  • political development
  • transformation
  • peace & prosperity

What We Do

SANCO endeavours to:
  • Promote empowerment through projects, programmes, campaigns, education and training
  • Represent and negotiate on behalf of its members with parties, organizations, and authorities on any matter affecting their interests
  • Lobby authorities to propose favourable legislation and to comment on proposed laws, actions or policies of authority affecting the interests of residents
  • Institute legal proceedings and other action on behalf of its members, and to defend residents’ legal interests (individually or collectively)
  • Co-operate with progressive organs of civil society (both locally and internationally) with similar aims and objectives
  • Conduct, co-ordinate and publish research on developments pertaining to socio-economic and political issues of public interest affecting members and residents
  • Form a Trust on behalf of its members, as the sole shareholder in SANCO investment projects
  • Establish and promote community projects and co-operatives
  • Do things as may be in the interest of the organisation, its members and communities, not inconsistent with the objects or matters specifically provided for in its constitution

I wonder whether SANCO will now support him and his plight?

I wonder how long the concourt will still be pondering over their Jacob Zuma dilemma. It is not long any more until the Zondo Commission must 'dissolve'. 14 more days until the arms deal trial... imagine a lockdown announcement in that time... Zuma without lawyers, though the court should instruct him on securing legal assistance without wasting any more time and the possibility that Thales will be legally disallowed to enter the country due to lockdown or travel suspension.

Anyway, more 'civic' weight is being thrown in Zuma's support,

Jailing Zuma could lead to anarchy, civic body says in court application

The Concerned Citizens of Northern Suburbs of Pietermaritzburg said in court papers filed with the Constitutional Court that a suspended sentence was appropriate for the former president

The direct imprisonment of former president Jacob Zuma had the potential to “incite public outcry and civil disobedience and anarchy”, a Pietermaritzburg-based civic organisation said in papers filed in the Constitutional Court last week.

The Concerned Citizens of Northern Suburbs of Pietermaritzburg (CCNSP) applied to be a friend of the court in the case by the state capture commission, which wants Zuma to be held in contempt of court after he failed to turn up to give evidence at the commission, despite a court order that he should obey all the commission’s lawful summons.

The commission asked the court to order that Zuma be imprisoned for two years for contempt, while Zuma chose not to participate in the case before the Constitutional Court, which has already reserved judgment.

However, after reserving judgment, the court directed Zuma to provide it with submissions on what would be an appropriate sentence should it find him in contempt — a request that he refused, instead writing to chief justice Mogoeng Mogoeng to explain that his refusal to participate was a conscientious objection.

But the CCNSP’s chairperson, Sirsing Singh, said in an affidavit that the civic body was concerned a harsh sentence would have severe repercussions for the rule of law, the administration of justice and the judiciary. In deciding on an appropriate sentence the court should consider Zuma’s struggle history and that, “despite contentious allegations of fraud and corruption levelled against him by the Mbeki administration, Zuma commanded overwhelming support from the masses”, which had led to him becoming president of SA.

Singh also said that the “litany of complaints” against Zuma — “inter alia fraud, corruption, misuse of government resources and state capture” were untested allegations yet to be proven in court.

I wonder who is this Singh?

He's a minority front person so obviously scrambling for his political future.
