Japanese train departs 25 seconds early - again

Checked out the original source because you can't trust these "LOL Japan" English articles.

What happened was that there was one guy that filed a complaint against the company for missing the train (apparently). Checking the comments on news sites and social media the consensus is that this guy is just an opportunistic a-hole whou wouldn't have caught the train anyway if 25 seconds was enough to miss it. Who times trains to that kind of accuracy anyway? Filing ridiculous complaints against businesses hoping for some kind of compensation is very common over there.

Most, as in 99.999999%, wouldn't have even noticed. And lots joked at how this story would be twisted on English news sites and they were right. :D

There's nothing blown out of proportion.
For a news article to exist, is an indication of the high standards of service delivery / responsibility in Japan.
It's something to aspire to... as opposed to the standard response of DILLIGAF.

LOVE that country. When I was there, it was amazing to see the board say the tube will arrive at 13:25:15 and at that exact 15 seconds...the train arrives.
Without fail.
Best place in the world.

Except the general consensus on Japanese social media is DILLIGAF. And that the guy that complained is being an ass.

25 seconds - who gives a toss, their trains are crap anyway.

just look at our trains.
instead of just sitting there staring out the window with a gormless look on the face as mrs sakimoto does every day:
on our trains there is a wealth of info to be found on the walls of the train, things like:
hendriks auto - ford cortina engineer in bellville
natasha & sonja - classy escorts and companions
dr professor bartholomew oonga - bring back lost lovers, win lottery & short boys
