Hi, I am looking at getting prepaid electricity meters for our complex. I've been doing my research under the assumption that the Third Party vendor installation were the only option. However, not sure, but somewhere I heard JHB City power also installs or are busy installation prepaid elec. meters. Is this correct? I can't get through on the City Power line to confirm this.

Don't go 3rd party. We have some rubbish 3rd party supplier in our complex - we HAVE to top up our account with them, we HAVE to buy prepaid tokens from them which is deducted from our account, and worst of all they charge R17,00 or something each time you top up your account with a credit card! So if you load R200 onto your account, they deduct R17 and only load R183. Fecking thieves...

OK, but the Electricity Prepaid meters from City Power are normally the big meter; I believe they don't do individual meter; that's where the third party guys come in.
